Polis Orders Statewide Closure of Seating at Bars, Restaurants
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis Monday ordered the closure of dine-in services at restaurants and bars throughout
the state as he continues efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus. He also ordered gyms, casinos and theaters to close.
The order, effective immediately, allows restaurants to continue to serve meals for delivery or carry-out, but not for in-person dining. Polis said it would last for at least 30 days.
Grand County Public Health and the Office of Emergency Management will be providing more information tomorrow morning about how this will be enforced in our communities.
This order is in response to the 29 new positive cases revealed Monday, Colorado now has 160 cases of COVID-19 in the state. Grand County currently does not have any positive cases of COVID-19.
Polis also ordered the closure of Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles offices where drivers licenses are issued. Renewals can still be done online. Grand County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will be following suit. Go to CO.GRAND.CO.US/SKIPTHETRIP to learn more.
