Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, accounting for one in every four deaths. There are many types of heart disease, but coronary heart disease is the most common. If you’re in need of diagnostic or ongoing treatment for heart disease, our team at Middle Park Health can help.

Our Cardiology Services

Middle Park Health offers expert cardiology care and the latest diagnostic technologies to get a clear picture of your heart health. A variety of non-invasive and minimally invasive tests are available, including:

  • Holter Monitors

Holter Monitors are essential for heart health because they provide continuous heart rate monitoring for an extended period of time, allowing for the identification of heart irregularities that might not be detectable with standard heart rate monitors. Holter Monitors can also assess the effectiveness of current treatments for heart conditions, and in some cases, they are used to identify heart conditions that have not yet caused symptoms.

  • Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is a type of ultrasound scan of the heart. It is used to assess the heart’s structure and function. The test is non-invasive, which means it does not involve putting needles or other instruments into the body. A gel is applied to the chest and a hand-held device called a transducer is used to produce images of the heart. Echocardiograms are important because they can help to diagnose heart conditions, such as heart failure, heart valve problems, and coronary artery disease. They can also be used to monitor heart conditions and assess the effectiveness of treatments.

  • Pacemaker and Defibrillator Testing

Regular testing of pacemakers and defibrillators is important to ensure that these devices are functioning properly. These tests can help to detect any problems with the device or batteries, and they can also help to identify any potential heart health issues. We recommend that you have your pacemaker and defibrillator checked annually, especially for those with devices older than five years. These tests are quick and painless and can provide peace of mind for you and your family.

  • Other tests as recommended by the doctor
We will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is best for you. We also offer expertise in the treatment of irregular heartbeats and arrhythmias. If you have any questions about our cardiac services, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help you on your journey to good heart health.

Dates and locations of clinics for each specialty physician are published monthly in local newspapers and are available here on our Specialty Clinic Calendar.

Middle Park Health is pleased to announce that its Granby Campus will begin reopening this evening, Monday, October 12, at 6:00 PM MDT, following a thorough environmental assessment conducted in collaboration with community partners and qualified environmental professionals.

The temporary closures over the past several days were prompted by an unusual odor noticed by staff during routine boiler maintenance on Saturday, October 10. During this maintenance, accumulated calcium and mineral deposits inside the boiler were being cleaned. The heating of these deposits produced an odor that traveled through portions of the building’s ventilation system.

Out of an abundance of caution, Middle Park Health temporarily suspended operations while working alongside local emergency response agencies and environmental professionals to investigate and evaluate the conditions.

Environmental testing and professional assessment determined that the conditions presented a low-level irritant exposure, with no hazardous exposure identified. Following a collaborative evaluation with community partners and environmental experts, the facility has been deemed safe for patients and staff to return.

“The health and safety of our patients and employees have remained our highest priority throughout this process. We recognize the disruption these temporary closures have caused and appreciate the patience and understanding of our community as we worked alongside our partners to thoroughly evaluate the situation and safely restore services,” said Jason Cleckler, Middle Park Health CEO.
