Nutritional Services in Grand County, CO

At Middle Park Health, we offer comprehensive nutritional services to meet the needs of the Grand County, CO community. Our Registered Dieticians are qualified to provide individualized Nutrition Counseling to help people make healthy, personalized choices. Our goal is to give people the resources they need to live a healthy lifestyle.

Speak to a Registered Dietician

Have your Primary Care Physician initiate a referral to one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN), and they will reach out to you to schedule your first appointment.

RDNs are qualified to educate individuals regarding their nutritional needs by recommending current evidence-based practices using a variety of foods for their specific lifestyle and medical status.
They can provide dietary details for specific guidelines such as Higher fiber, Plant-based Guidelines, Mediterranean dietary Guidelines, or Anti-Inflammatory, to name a few.
A new area of service that may be of interest is nutrition education on Intuitive Eating Concepts vs. the Dieting Mind Set. Intuitive Eating Concepts are Principles for Nourishing a Healthy Relationship with Food. This is not a diet plan or a quick fix to lose weight but a teaching and experience process to regain a body’s awareness (attunement) of what it needs and is satisfying.
Our team is also fully equipped to help those with special needs for swallowing or chewing issues by recommending food texture modifications.

Major Nutrition Guidelines customized for individuals:

  • Anti-Inflammatory Dietary Guidelines
  • Liver Support: Alcoholic and Non- alcoholic-based categories, Fatty Liver Disease
  • Eating Disorders with the focus on Feeding Competence/ Intuitive Eating Concepts
  • Weight Concerns with the focus on Feeding Competence/ Intuitive Eating Concepts vs Restrictive Dieting
  • GI issues: Various Allergies or Symptoms, Celic, IBS, Elimination diets, Gut Biome
  • Mental Health and Diet: (New evidence of Gut-Brain Connection)
  • Diabetic Nutrition Education: General, DM2, DM1- Gestational, Prediabetes

Middle Park Health’s Granby Campus is currently without power due to an area outage. At this time we are awaiting information on when power will be restored. We are running on generator power to essential areas of the hospital like the Emergency Department which will remain open.

Our primary and specialty clinics have preemptively cancelled morning appointments. Our registration and scheduling staff is reaching out to all patients to reschedule. Physical Therapy patients are still being seen as scheduled.

Thank you for understanding. We will post an update as soon as power is restored.
