Services We Offer
Middle Park Health offers expert pediatric services:
- Holter Monitors
Holter Monitors are essential for heart health because they provide continuous heart rate monitoring for an extended period of time, allowing for the identification of heart irregularities that might not be detectable with standard heart rate monitors. Holter Monitors can also assess the effectiveness of current treatments for heart conditions, and in some cases, they are used to identify heart conditions that have not yet caused symptoms.
- Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram is a type of ultrasound scan of the heart. It is used to assess the heart’s structure and function. The test is non-invasive, which means it does not involve putting needles or other instruments into the body. A gel is applied to the chest and a hand-held device called a transducer is used to produce images of the heart. Echocardiograms are important because they can help to diagnose heart conditions, such as heart failure, heart valve problems, and coronary artery disease. They can also be used to monitor heart conditions and assess the effectiveness of treatments.
- Pacemaker and Defibrillator Testing
Regular testing of pacemakers and defibrillators is important to ensure that these devices are functioning properly. These tests can help to detect any problems with the device or batteries, and they can also help to identify any potential heart health issues. We recommend that you have your pacemaker and defibrillator checked annually, especially for those with devices older than five years. These tests are quick and painless and can provide peace of mind for you and your family.
- Other tests as recommended by the doctor
